Michael started his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in 2004, since that time he has trained with, and fought against, many high level grapplers; competing in several countries including Brazil, USA and Portugal.
He is currently a Brown belt under Felipe Alves de Souza and trains at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu School in London.
His technical attacking style of Jiu-Jitsu has become his trademark as he has made his way through the belt ranks, winning many honours along the way. (more…)

It was a gloomy start to the weather on Saturday March 7^th but there was nothing gloomy about the mood of those meandering through Regent’s Park for The Boxing Clinic’s first ever grading session. And, by lunchtime the weather had succumb to our cheery mood as the sun began to shine!

I don’t subscribe to the phrase that what counts is the taking part…. anyone can just show up! What we witnessed on Saturday was a culmination of weeks of hard training and then illustrated in (more…)

Inside this page are the results of the Gradings held at Regents Park on March 7th. Well done to all involved if you were judged on effort you would have all passed , the improvement in fitness levels in all of you was fantastic to see , give yourself a pat on the back because you all did amazingly well !

The Boxing Clinic has introduced a Boxing Grading system. All other Martial Arts around the world have grading system’s all except Boxing. The staff at the Clinic have come together and formed a Grading System from White Shield to Black Shield leading to a Clinic Instructor status. (more…)

Well thats it I’m done ! Time to pack the bags and head home after a very interesting 2 weeks training here with the Hit Squad.

I was asked the day before I was leaving would I come back and would I recommend the Hit Squad as a training facility for people to come learn and get fit ?

 As mentioned on the previous blog  the fighters in this Team have the best attitude towards training I have seen in any gym/team I have worked with to date ( and I have worked with alot of teams and in alot of gyms) . There is no attitude amongst these lads they are  all here to do their job and have fun at the same time. (more…)

                                        DEC 4^TH – A NIGHT WHEN UNDERDOGS BECAME TOP DOGS.

The MGM Grande it wasn’t, but The Vauxhall Colloseum, witnessed another dazzling display of boxing, from the Clinic’s finest.

 Six fights, three of them for belts were the ticket for the night.  The first three were between the runners up from the fights on October 23^rd and they didn’t disappoint as each fighter felt they had something to prove and prove it they did, as the standard of the boxing was excellent.    As for the bouts for the belts, they were busy, brilliant and bruising from the sound of the bell. There is absolutely nothing here to do only train ! If you’ve not got a car you are completely shut off from the outside world. Its fantastic, you get up in the morning go to class come back eat , sleep if your tired and if you’re just bored guess what you can go and train!

It wasn’t quite Vegas but it did begin with a ‘V’.  Thursday 23^rd October saw the first rounds of the Boxing Clinic Contender Competition at the Vauxhall Colloseum.  Eighteen Boxing Clinic fighters, across four weight divisions, battled it out for a shot at the title to be held December 4^th.
