GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS…

Nicole and Lucy are hot!   Annoyingly they’re also smart, dare I say it….nice and they frickin’ look good in their underwear.

Never has there been so much debate on our facebook page as when their pix were posted.  Sadly judged by some before we’ve even had a chance to get to know them….now people, that’s not fair.  So without further a do let’s set the record straight and get to know our girls.  Because that’s who they are, they’re OUR ring girls, appearing at all of our shows.

They live in London although Nicole was born in Scotland.   They’re both models and dancers but Nicole studies acting too.  They’re looking forward to becoming part of the MMA Clinic team and kicking off what will be a busy weekend for them at the weigh-ins on Saturday.

Doing what they do can cloud people’s perceptions of who they really are and the girls agree as Nicole pipes up, “It definitely does but I love what I do.  Lots of people don’t believe that I’m in the final year of my degree as they tend to stereotype.  I don’t take things to heart though and try to show that I am actually a nice girl and that there’s more to me than meets the eye!”  Lucy adds, “People often have preconceptions about me but by building good relationships with those I meet, they realise that I’m as normal and nice as everyone else.”

They’re experts at working the ring and so I was interested to know if they had a preference – boxing or MMA?  Lucy is emphatic in her reply, “MMA…it’s raw and entertaining.”   Nicole adds,  “This is a tough one.  I’m more familiar with boxing as it’s in the family but recently I have seen a lot more MMA and love the content and excitement.”

In our last Contender show we had four female fighters so I was keen to find out what they thought about women fighters.  “It’s more nail biting than a male fight”, comments Lucy, “I have so much respect for female fighters it takes a lot for a female to get in the ring.  And of course the training takes amazing will power…no sneaky scoobie snacks!”  Lucy is a little more circumspect, “not sure if I enjoy it as much as male fighters as I get scared for the girls.”

These girls are professional to a tee – so I was wondering what they do when they’re not working.  “I love nothing more than a night in watching Desperate Housewives with a glass of wine – top entertainment”, says Nicole.   Guys, if you ever get a chance to buy these girls a meal you’ll impress them by ordering the bacon and avocado salad – its their favourite.

The girls have their work cut out on the 18th because it’s their job to keep the crowd of 1500 happy and entertained in between bouts – frankly a responsibility I wouldn’t want.  So ladies show them your support and guys be gentle…men.
