MAKING THE GRADE!

members jogging in park It was a gloomy start to the weather on Saturday March 7th but there was nothing gloomy about the mood of those meandering through Regent’s Park for The Boxing Clinic’s first ever grading session. And, by lunchtime the weather had succumb to our cheery mood as the sun began to shine!

I don’t subscribe to the phrase that what counts is the taking part…. anyone can just show up! What we witnessed on Saturday was a culmination of weeks of hard training and then illustrated in (more…)

Inside this page are the results of the Gradings held at Regents Park on March 7th. Well done to all involved if you were judged on effort you would have all passed , the improvement in fitness levels in all of you was fantastic to see , give yourself a pat on the back because you all did amazingly well !

JOE COOPER… A SELF CONFESSED SCREAMER!

There’s nothing mini about this Cooper. At a stately 6’8”, first impressions of Joe are that he’s a gentle giant but under closer inspection he could easily be mistaken for a man with tourettes! When in uncontrollable pain from The Boxing Clinic’s circuits, he can’t control what comes out of his mouth as he can be heard screaming and yelping like a puppy or shouting mother f** ker!

…SHOES AND FANCY FOOD’S HER THING!

photo of elignElin is one of the many international faces at The Boxing Clinic. Born in Korea, raised in Sweden and now living in London with her partner. She’s a graphic designer who loves her job but thinks she might like to do other exciting things in the future – she’s not planning on being a Contender though!

Her greatest extravagances are food and fancy foot wear which almost contradicts the fact she’s part of our fight club and uses the ‘F’ word more often than she would like! (more…)
